North Korea condemned the new penalties voted on Friday by the UN Security Council against its nuclear and ballistic programs.
North Korea qualified on Sunday, December 24th of "act of war" the new penalties voted on Friday by the UN Security Council against its nuclear and ballistic programs. "We reject totally the last penalties of the UNO (…) As a violent infringement on the sovereignty of our republic and an act of war which destroys the peace and the stability of the Korean peninsula and the region", declared the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a communiqué spread by the official agency KCNA.
The UN Security Council hardened on Friday the penalties against North Korea by an unanimous vote on an American resolution, by attacking the oil and the question of the North Korean workers abroad.
It is the ninth train of particularly drastic UN penalties against Pyongyang. Three last ones were adopted this year at the instigation of the Americans after tries of missiles and a nuclear test led by North Korea.
